German online games publisher InnoGames (Tribal Wars, The West) made the announcement to Grepolis fans late yesterday afternoon. The first feature to be unveiled is the introduction of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World to the strategy browser game. Players will be able to communally construct these with their alliances in a series of ten stages.
These wonders include the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Only one of the Seven World Wonders can be constructed in full per world, and the goal is to control as many Wonders as possible.
More features of the next game version will be unveiled over the coming weeks, though no exact date for its release has been set.
Grepolis is a strategy-based ancient building game, in which players construct a large settlement, procure an army and loot from other players in the bid for world dominance. By using carefully thought-out tactics, you expand and conquer over the ancient world.
