The Summer Speed Tournament of 2012 is set to begin at the end of this month and that means that the players of the browser-based strategy game, Grepolis, will be challenged to put their skills to the test and prove what they are made of!

Summer Speed World 2012 will be kicking off on August 31st, promising great prizes for the winners and challenges for all of the players that participate. The event will run over the course of the weekend and will end on September 2nd at 6:00 PM.

What is the Summer Speed World of 2012? Much as the title suggests, it is a special world that will be opened up for players to play on which will be played at a very high speed. Players can register if they pay a small entrance fee of 300 gold.

The top 5 players will receive various amounts of gold and the top three will receive gold as well as a goodies pack. The goodies pack includes an InnoGames USB stick, mouse pad and a Grepolis mug. Sounds like quite the treasure trove for any serious fan of the browser-based strategy game.

Unit speed: 50
Alliance limit: 15
Conquer system: Conquest
Morale: no
Beginner protection: ~1 hour.
